This web site wouldn't be complete without Old-Skool Hardcore and Rave music for you to listen to. I have placed soundbites below for you to download - these will give you a feel for Hardcore music, and the qualities that made it so popular in its day. For all you old-skool ravers this soundbite collection will be like a trip down memory lane!

I am providing the soundbites in Real Audio format. The main reasons for this are that the RA format is multi-platform, and also that I can get lots of music in the web space that I have because the RA compression is excellent. The RA player for your computer can be downloaded for free at the Real web site (click the link for 'Free Player'). Lots of other Hardcore and Rave sites are providing sound in RA format so it's worth getting the player so you can benefit from those sites too.

The soundbites are split into three sections: Sound Clips - snippets of tunes less than a minute each, Complete Tunes - complete hardcore tunes, and Dark/Drum & Bass - complete tunes with a Dark and D&B flavour (so you can get a good feel of how the music progressed).
